The then British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher laid the foundation stone of the Institute on April 17 1981, and now April 17 is celebrated as SPJIMR day. SPJIMR admissions are offered in five Family Business Management courses, two Entrepreneurship programmes, two Global programmes, one executive programme, and three social sector programmes. PGEMP is offered at the Mumbai campus of SPJIMR, and PGPGM is offered at the Delhi campus. The PGDM course at SP Jain Mumbai has a unique selection process in which the first MBA shortlist is released based on academic score and entrance exam score (CAT/ GMAT), followed by profile evaluation, WAT, and two rounds of interviews.
The applicants are shortlisted based on their profiles considering various factors for their respective programmes at SP Jain Institute of Management and Research. Each course has its eligibility criteria. Candidates have to meet the qualifying scores in at least one of the entrance exams required for the course of their choice. Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have a consistent academic background. Marks in Class 10 and Class 12 are considered. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.
Selection criteria: The applicants at SPJIMR admissionsare shortlisted based on their overall profile and considering academic background, work experience, entrance scores, and achievements.
Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university. Must have five years of relevant and full-time experience before September 30, 2022. GMAT/CAT scores are also accepted in SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.
Selection criteria: Applicants are shortlisted based on their profiles. A candidates academic record, relevance of work experience in specialization applied for, versatility and achievements are all taken into consideration during the SPJIMR admission process.
Eligibility criteria: The candidates who have passed graduation in any stream of their choice from a recognised university or are in the final year of graduation may apply.
Selection criteria: Candidates with at least 80% in CAT and XAT are eligible to apply at SPJIMR. Candidates having 550/880 marks in GMAT will be considered. Candidates with 100/200 marks in TOEFL are also eligible. GRE candidates must have 300/340 marks.
Eligibility criteria: Applicants must have four years of full-time work experience. A bachelor's degree in any discipline of the candidate's choice from a recognised institute is required. Scores of GMAT, NMAT, CAT, and XAT are accepted by SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.
Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have scored 50 percent marks in Class 12 or equivalent. A master's degree/equivalent in any other discipline, with at least 55 percent marks or equivalent, is required for SPJIMR admissions.
Selection criteria: The candidate shall be preferred more if they have three years of work experience relevant to their specialization or in a related discipline is helpful. Scores of GMAT and CAT are also considered.
Eligibility criteria: Must have an undergraduate degree from a recognised university. The candidate has a specific size business and a mentor willing to spend time as per program early statements.
Eligibility criteria: To be admitted to SYB in SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, a candidate must have a degree from a recognised university. Applicants should desire to start an early-stage business or an early-stage startup.
Eligibility criteria: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline. Minimum 50% marks at graduation and a good and consistent academic record. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience after graduation. Diploma holders with a minimum of 10 years of experience may also apply to SPJIMR.
Selection process: It comprises of test of reasoning, group discussion and personal interview.
Eligibility criteria: The SP Jain Institute applicant should be the owner of a family-managed business. The candidate should have passed an undergraduate program from a recognised university and be comfortable with English.
Eligibility criteria: The candidate should have a graduate degree from a recognised university. The candidate should have two years of relevant work experience and basic proficiency in computers and should be comfortable with English as the medium of instruction.
The SPJIMR placement report for 2022 has been released. According to the report, 70 recruiters came to campus, with 33 of them being new recruiters. Accenture, Aditya Birla Capital, Amazon, American Express, and others were among the top recruiters. PPOs were given to 123 students. The SPJIMR highest package offered during the 2022 placement drive was Rs 53.16 lakhs per annum, while the SPJIMR average package was Rs 32.06 lakhs per annum and a median salary of Rs 30.10 lakhs per annum was offered overall.
Over 52 companies showed up to the SPJIMR autumn internship drive out of which 27 were first-time recruiters. Students received an average stipend of Rs 2.61 lakhs for 2 months. The maximum stipend was Rs 4 lakhs for 2 months at SPJIMR placements.

SP Jain Institute of Management Mumbai admissions are offered to its PGDM programmes based on their GMAT and CAT exam scores. The XAT score will not be accepted for the PGDM admission process in 2022. The minimum percentile required for admission to a PGDM programme is 85 percentile on the CAT or GMAT entrance exam.
SPJIMR Mumbai, also provides a GMP course based on the results of the GMAT/ GRE/ CAT/ XAT entrance exams. Aside from the PGDM and GMP programmes, SP Jain Institute also offers PG courses based on GMAT/GRE/CAT/MAT/XAT exam scores. Admission to diploma programmes in various specialisations is based on GMAT/CAT/NMAT/XAT scores, followed by an interview round.
The SPJIMR PGDM admission is divided into three stages. The selection process for the first interview is the screening stage, followed by the shortlisting stage for the second interview. SP Jain Institute of Management and Research admissions offers special academic scholarships to meritorious and deserving candidates. Candidates have to send a scholarship request letter and the application form stating the reason for applying for a scholarship. Based on the SPJIMR admission criteria, the percentage of reduction of the programme fee is then decided by the admission committee.
Merit-Based Scholarship: Students can apply for merit-cum-means based scholarships under existing SPJIMR scholarship plans. SPJIMR offers its merit scholarship to the top 20 students in the current batch who will be provided funding for doing a full semester exchange in one of its top partnering schools in the US. These students get their airline travel, visa and living expenses covered bythe SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.
Mirae Asset Foundation Scholarship: The MAF scholarship's primary goal is to provide financial assistance to deserving and needy participants in the first and second years of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The student can receive up to Rs 50,000 per year in this SPJIMR scholarship.
Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship: This SPJIMR scholarship's goal is to provide financial assistance to deserving participants with limited resources. Each individual's application will be evaluated independently by a panel. The approval can be for a reimbursement of 50%, 75%, or 100% of the tuition component of the SPJIMR fees.
The SP Jain Institute of Management and Research application process 2023 is entirely online. Following are the steps for the SPJIMR application process 2023:
Step1: Visit the SPJIMR official website and click on the menu button in the top right section of the screen. Then click on the 'Academic Programs Button.’
Step 2: Choose the desired course and click on the 'Admissions' tab in the next window that opens up on the screen.

SPJIMR and the US Consulate on Monday (Aug 22, 2016) organised a roundtable on ‘Industry-NGO-Academia Collaboration’ bringing together various NGOs for discussion on how academic institutions and non-profits could work with industry and support NGOs to reach a larger number of people.
Prof. Rukaiya Joshi, Chairperson of SPJIMR’s Centre for Education in Social Sector (CEdSS), spoke on the relevance of NGOs in developing value creation by learning to do things differently. “This event is the beginning of discussing various models of collaborations," she said.
SPJIMR’s CEdSS is already working with Novartis and various NGOs to provide training in the area of thalassemia and cancer care under a pioneering model that connects academics, industry and non-profits.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Anthony Boccanfuso, President, University Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP) appreciated the good work done by the NGOs in India. He emphasised the effective implementation of projects and the need of innovation in the sector.
